During the city’s last application cycle, a dozen towing companies submitted proposals and we were one out of five that were awarded licenses. We successfully navigated the competitive process thanks to our unwavering commitment to professionalism. Each of our trucks is equipped with everything needed to relocate light- and medium-duty vehicles when we are dispatched and all tow-truck operators are certified by the Towing & Recovery Association of America and the Department of Transportation. Police-initiated jobs comprise almost a third of our towing business each year, and citywide volume is high enough that drivers unable to locate their vehicles after special events are encouraged to call 311 to determine if they’ve been towed.

Greenwood Towing also is a licensed trespass-towing provider in three jurisdictions: Baltimore, Anne Arundel County, and Howard County. Each government entity puts applicants through an annual approval process, allowing licensees to work with private-property owners to monitor parking facilities for unauthorized vehicles. Scofflaws are towed to our secure storage facility, which is open 24/7 to facilitate retrieval. And since cash is the only currency accepted at our redemption center, we also have an ATM on the property for drivers’ convenience.
